Joy to the World
Joy to the world is a Christmas carol that is played and sung around Christmas time. I think that this song is a very happy and is about the people getting ready for Christmas and how much they enjoy this time of year. The lyrics that say "the Lord is come" tells me that this song also celebrates the return of their lord. The song is telling the people that the lord coming back is a good sign and also it explains how the lord makes everyone happy
Bring me to Life
Bring me to Life by Evanscence is about how the writer wants their beloved to wake up. In the song the writer says "(Wake me up) Wake me up inside" this is the writer wanting their loved one to wake up. This song is sad love song about how he is going to really miss this person who is rather in a very deep sleep or is dying. This person is clearly really in pain over the possibilites that could happen if he lost this perosn.
I prefer the song Bring me to Life over Joy to the World. Even though the song is quite sad I think it is a very good song. Another reason I prefer this song is because the band playing is very good and really helps to the meaning of the song. I still enjoy Joy to the World it is one of my favourite Christmas carols.
